Gradually, Pakistan is safeguarding the rights of the transgender community. Pakistan is becoming an investor-friendly country by guaranteeing the rights without any discrimination. Under this category, the government of Pakistan is protecting the fundamental rights of the transgender community. “The Transgender Persons (Protection of Rights) Act 2018” allows individuals to declare their identity on all official documents including National Identity cards, their passports, their educational certificates, and all other legal documents. Security and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) introduced a separate category for transgender persons in its online portal for company registration (E-service). Today, in E-Services, a person has an option to self-identify under three categories. The transgender person can register a company or become a stakeholder or director of a company.
